How ScanMate turns a printed code into a private recovery system.
The label itself only carries a code. The owner activates it, adds item details, and stays private when a finder scans it later.
Owner setup
First, the owner activates the code.
This ScanMate code is unclaimed and ready to activate.

Privacy protectedDecide next stepThe owner chooses whether to respond
The owner can reply if they want to arrange return. If they do not want to respond, their details stay private.
The important part
The owner is always in control.
A finder can send a message, but they never see the owner's email, phone number, address, or name. ScanMate passes the message through and the owner decides whether to respond.
